Bound ll FAQ’s
I thought Bound was supposed to happen November 21st 2020? What happened?
On June 26th, the City of Chicago announced they would be moving to Phase 4 of their re-opening plan. This would allow for social gatherings for up to 50 people for indoors and 100 for outdoor gatherings. https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/mayor/press_room/press_releases/2020/june/PhaseFour.html
After a successful event in August, planning for Bound went as scheduled.
The week of November 20, 1 week before our event, the State of Illinois moved back to tier 3 mitigations due to a surge in Covid cases, again shutting down event venues and moving back to allowing just groups of 10 for social gatherings. Thursday we emailed to confirm our use of our venue and was informed Friday afternoon that due to recent citations and restrictions by the city, they would have to cancel our reservation – just 24hrs before our event. We scrambled to try and find an alternative venue that could accommodate, but after unsuccessful attempts we were forced to make the announcement to post-pone the event to a later date.
Was Bound cancelled?
No Bound was not cancelled, the event was postponed to a later date. We have rescheduled the event for May 1st.
What happened to my registration?
Your registration is still valid and all prior registrations will be honored for this event. We are asking those who still plan on attending to confirm their registration with us for May 1st.
May 1st doesn’t work for us, can I get a refund?
Yes. Under normal circumstances, we don’t do refunds except in extreme situations. However, we felt this was one of those situations if May 1st doesn’t work for you.
Where is Bound ll taking place?
At an undisclosed location, on the Northside of Chicago. If you are traveling, please reach out for hotel recommendations nearby.
I heard about a wild and crazy hotel party that took place on the night Bound was supposed to happen. What was that about and why didn’t we receive details?
We had several guests travel from out of town, already in route at the moment we had to postpone the event. To accommodate our out of town guests, we held a small get together at a Chicago hotel. This was paid out at our own expense, and the funds for the Bound event were not used. Yes, the fire alarm did go off but everyone was fine.
Are there openings for Bound ll?
Yes. Due to a few cancellations, we are opening up registration again. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/148657852639/
What is your refund policy?
We have held a space for you at this event and your venue, entertainment and supplies have been already booked or purchased. Due to the limited number of people permitted at each party, they always sell-out fast. Therefore, we have a strict policy of no refunds.
